Elewit, Redeia’s technology platform, will host the second edition of its DEMO Day on 9 October at its Tres Cantos headquarters (Madrid). The event will bring together professionals from startups, the investment community, commercial partners, and other key players from the electricity and telecommunications sectors.
Elewit celebrates five years of driving the energy transition and advocating for universal and inclusive connectivity. As a catalyst for innovation and Redeia's technology platform, Elewit's professionals work daily not only on developing new technological solutions to meet the challenges of the electricity and telecommunications sectors, but also on technology monitoring, leading innovation, and guiding the c
Elewit, Redeia's technology platform, aims to take another step forward in Technology Monitoring to make maximum use of new technologies with the potential to drive the energy transition and connectivity. Faced with an immense choice of innovative solutions that are being developed thanks to scientific advancements, constant monitoring is required to analyse the options that they can offer, not just for Redeia but for society as a whole.
Elewit, Redeia's technological platform, has hand-picked four projects from the pool of six finalists in the third year of its intrapreneurship programme, Despega. The selected projects aim to address issues related to electrical risk in electrical infrastructure operations, the availability and cost of equipment and materials in the electrical sector, the time required for discharges, the disconnection of installations from the electrical grid, and the gradual increase in radio frequency spectrum interference.
Elewit has completed the development of the GridCal and Newton improvement project for electrical planning, known as the Siroco project, in collaboration with the electrical planning and system operation model teams of Red Eléctrica. This project represents a significant step forward in the simulation capabilities of electrical grids, as new advanced functionalities have been developed to meet current needs and foresee future requirements in the electrical sector.
