- After three successful editions, the company is still committed to finding innovative talent that will enable it to quickly deliver new technical solutions to Redeia.
- Elewit has invested more than one million euros in the programme since its first edition and has created 23 pilot projects with 18 startups in the areas of telecommunications, digital and ecological transformation, occupational safety, satellite connectivity, and electricity network maintenance.
- Six startups from previous editions have already started offering innovative solutions to the Redeia companies.
The fourth edition of the venture client programme for startups from around the world that are pioneers in innovative technologies and industry leaders in the fields of energy and telecommunications is now available from Elewit, the technology platform of Redeia. The call can be consulted on its website and is open until November 4.
The programme consists of a participation and collaboration model in which Redeia companies work with startups to create use cases in order to test innovative technology. These pilot projects seek to provide creative solutions that address the challenges of the company in the areas of ecological transition and connectivity.
Elewit has already invested over a million euros in more than 23 pilot projects that were created in collaboration with 18 Spanish and foreign startups over the course of the three editions that have been finished.
"Consequently, from Elewit, we continue with our work of searching for, implementing, and developing innovation through external talent and using the experience and knowledge we have in the group. Year after year, we find that our venture client programme is a perfect formula for entrepreneurs, innovators and large companies like Redeia to work together to overcome current and future challenges," says Silvia Bruno, director of Elewit.
Startups: suppliers of innovative technology
Through pilot projects, these technologies are jointly tested in an efficient and quick manner. Indeed, more than 80% of the initiatives are deployed in less than 120 days after the beginning of the programme. As a result, entrepreneurs can enhance their technology and procedures.
Additionally, the startups give the company the chance to more quickly and effectively integrate new technology into its management, maintenance, and control processes. Six startups from previous editions have already started working with Redeia. In particular, Onirix, Unusuals, Flexidao, Nexmachina, Engidi, and Alchemy fall under this category. The technology solutions provided by these startups are already being used by subsidiaries of Redeia, particularly in the areas of power line engineering and inspection, satellite connectivity, occupational safety, and asset construction.
The venture client programme offered by Elewit provides growth potential for startups. Those chosen have new opportunities for income and might potentially supply Redeia companies. It also enables them to further explore and develop their technological developments together with Redeia companies, particularly through novel use cases and applications. For these startups, this creates a variety of new commercial prospects.
