Gustavo López Gómez (Badajoz, 23 July 1988) participates in the second edition of the Despega intrapreneurship programme, a Redeia initiative which supported by Elewit. Thanks to the programme’s support, Gustavo is developing his project eComerland.

Gustavo is a line engineer in the Electricity Transmission Grid General Management team. For him, the Despega programme represents a challenge, innovation and development, and personal and professional growth.

“My experience has been rewarding. I would like to highlight the mentoring and training in the development of this concept, from its creation to its implementation, allowing me to test its scalability and profitability in the market,” he said.

Gustavo recommends Despega to anyone in the group who has the personal and professional motivation and ambition to face new challenges and to continue learning. “This programme offers two benefits: the opportunity for entrepreneurship and the security of a position in a large company,” he emphasised.

eComerland

Gustavo’s project is eComerland, a solution consisting of developing a digital platform that connects consumers and streamlines the search for renewable areas. “The objective is to continue promoting decarbonisation of the system, in turn converting society into a driving actor for the energy transition,” he stated.

The initiative seeks to create a positive social impact, converting society in general and, more specifically, property owners into driving actors. His vision is to transfer the benefits of the energy transition to local communities, improving acceptance and social commitment.

In this context, the platform allows people to publish their energy concerns quickly and free of charge, supporting social innovation as a driving mechanism for the energy transition.
