The effective management of Red Eléctrica's investment project portfolio is a complex challenge marked by several variables and restrictions. Thus, in response to this problem, the Strategos project aims to develop an advanced software tool to prioritize and optimize the planning of investment projects of Red Eléctrica, our country's sole electricity transmission company and operator.

This tool, designed to facilitate decision making, allows useful simulations for the analysis of different investment scenarios to be more efficient in the scheduling of tasks in the planning of projects considering various restrictions of application to the problem. The result is an optimized planning that allows identifying bottlenecks and proposing feasible solutions according to Red Eléctrica's needs and casuistry.

As previously noted, the benefits observed in the innovation pilot include the ability to prioritize projects in project planning in an agile and flexible way to delve into investment scenarios and their multiple possibilities.

What is the project’s status?

Following the successful development of the minimum viable product, Red Eléctrica is currently collaborating with the AlchemyML team to develop a fully functional version of the tool to prioritize and optimize the execution of Red Eléctrica's investment projects, as well as to obtain a clear and concise visual explanation of the optimization performed to compare the different scenarios.
