Elewit, as Redeia’s technology platform and through its Corporate Venture Capital initiative, seeks technology-based startups that align strategically with energy transition and connectivity goals. This investment vehicle enables Elewit to drive and explore the development of new business ventures that address the group's key challenges. As a result, it is in this area that the collaboration between Stellar, a startup specialising in telecommunications, automotive, and satellites, and Elewit was born.
Founded in 2021 by Damien Garot, Anela Boese, and Hassan Aouisse, Stellar became the first sustainable connectivity provider driven by mobility and cutting-edge technology. Their mission is to ensure that passengers enjoy perfect internet connectivity at all times and provide deep data intelligence for vehicles.
To achieve this, Stellar is developing a suite of products and services for the road mobility sector. These solutions combine the best of cellular, satellite, and Wi-Fi networks seamlessly to deliver persistent digital services within vehicles, enhance automated driving, and improve road safety. Currently, broadband connectivity is inadequate on 40% of European roads.
Stellar's unique value proposition lies in its proprietary artificial intelligence—the world’s first to smoothly integrate cellular, satellite, and Wi-Fi networks without any connectivity drops, regardless of driving speed. Stellar's AI manages and optimises network selection, supporting real-time switching across all network types.
This innovative technology enabled Stellar to secure €9.3 million in an investment round led by Elewit, alongside Primo Ventures and Alchimia Investments, complemented by public funding from European institutions. These funds will allow the startup to accelerate the growth and expansion of its project.
